How We Help

On Mother's Day and Father's Day, Namaste New York delivers massage therapy on-site, free of charge, to parents of children staying in the hospital. In addition, Namaste supports the Pediatric Emergency Department and Child Life Services by donating goods and in-kind services, and through fundraising.

About

The East Harlem School is a middle school (grades 4 - 8) that challenges students to develop a balanced physical, moral and intellectual strength. Recruiting from families "with low incomes and high values," they want their students to create lives of deep meaning, dynamic action, and
transcendent joy.

How We Help

Teaching these future leaders how to stay physically, mentally and spiritually "awake," even in the face of stress and change--consistent with the school's goals--we lead three yoga classes a week, free of charge, for students, parents, faculty, and staff.

About

City Parks Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to enrich and connect New Yorkers through free arts, sports and education programs, delivered in the parks of the five New York City boroughs.

How We Help

Namaste New York is proud to have created a community-building initiative in partnership with the City Parks Foundation that brought free yoga classes to seniors. For six years, from 2003 to 2009, Namaste delivered classes in 12 parks around the city.
