I am one of Namaste's target audiences, just so we are all clear... My juggling act is "epic" (yes, I just used that word because I have a 10 year old son, and we are the company we keep). I love every last drop of it - but sometimes there needs to be a "hard stop". (Another word that rubbed off on me, but from the corporate set) Yesterday I closed my computer and left the "office" at 5:30 (challenging). My office is not only my desk, but my phone, my car, my errands, etc... I threw a few beverages into a cooler and took my kids to the beach for dinner. (I gave myself permission to not even pack dinner, but buy fried food at the beach) They boogie-boarded, dug holes, found crabs, ran around and climbed the off duty lifeguard stands. I sat on a beach chair and breathed, watched and felt. (yoga) My day was saved. I found the sweet spot between the tension and the release, the effort and the surrender. Now if I can just repeat that "hard stop" and fill the space with something that feels sacred every day - I'll be golden. You can be golden too.
