This month is Mental Health Awareness Month, and throughout the month, we’ll be focusing on just that - overall mental wellbeing and how meditation plays an integral part in finding awareness, balance, and greater fulfillment. Meditation is not a one size fits all formula. There are many different forms that we offer, and many ways and reasons why we might embark on the journey.
We’re going to take a moment to touch on one form of meditation that you’ve probably already heard of, but may not truly understand: Mindfulness Meditation.
Mindfulness Meditation is a practice designed to bring our attention to both inner and outer experiences in the present moment with acceptance, patience, and compassion. This is a quality we can all cultivate.
Mindfulness is non-judgmental, open-hearted, and inviting of whatever arises in awareness in the present moment. It is paying careful attention to these moments, resulting in being more consistently present in our own lives.
