Julie Wald, Chief Wellness Officer
A wellness practitioner for over 25 years Julie Wald, is the Founder and Chief Wellness Advisor of Namaste New York. She holds a master’s degree in Social Work from New York University. Julie began her career in 1995 as a clinical social worker treating adults, children and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. In addition, Julie is a Certified Yoga Instructor, Meditation Teacher, Thai Bodyworker and Reiki Master. The mastery of these disciplines combined with being a student and teacher of Eastern wisdom has cumulated in a multifaceted multimodal approach to wellness education.
While moonlighting as a yoga and meditation teacher in the homes of prominent New Yorkers, Julie noticed a profound shift in how individuals search for personal connections and meaningful practices to nourish their mind, body and spirit. She observed the acute challenge these stressed people faced finding practitioners who could accommodate their busy schedules. In response to this need, Julie created Namaste New York, a wellness concierge that is uniquely positioned to consult, curate and deliver personalized in-home fitness and wellness for individuals and families.
Today, Namaste New York serves a vast and influential clientele of high-performing business leaders and celebrities, as well as children, families and individuals coping with chronic illness. As Namaste’s Chief Wellness Advisor, Julie works one-on-one with select clients to navigate their day-to-day lives, manage stress and pain, and cultivate lifelong well-being through extraordinary self-care planning and practices.
